FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where can I find my membership number?
You can find it in several places: on your membership card; on the label of your Cascade Courier; by calling the office at (206)522-3222. We will also send all members an email in mid-December with your membership number.

Can my friends who are not Cascade members register for events in January?
No. Only Cascade members are allowed to register for Cascade events during January. Encourage your friends to join the Club in December to receive this special member benefit starting in January.

When should I join to guarantee that I receive my member number by January 4?
We recommend joining by Dec. 18 to have your membership number in-hand by January 4.

Will the office be closed for a holiday break?
Yes. The office will be closed for Winter Solstice December 24 - January 3. No one will be available to answer questions during this time. We will reopen for business on January 4.

What if I don’t have my membership number in hand when registration opens and I can’t get anyone on the phone to help me?
If you are absolutely certain you are a member, go ahead and register. We’ll match you in the database on the following business day.

I've registered for a Cascade event before. Why doesn't the online registration system recognize my name and email address?
We've switched our online registration system for the 2010 event season. Simply select "I need a new account" when prompted, choose a username and password, and proceed with your registration.

What happens if register, but I am not a member?
Any and all non-member registrations will be refunded, minus the non-refundable registration fee. You must be or become a member at the time you register. No exceptions will be made.

When can non-members register for events?
Events are open for public registration starting at 9 a.m. on February 1.

What happens if an event sells out?
Some popular Cascade Bicycle Club events do sell out in advance. We recommend registering as soon as possible to secure your place. Since we will be offering refunds this year instead of tranfers, you won't be able to wait and purchase a registration on our message boards.

What if I don't want to commit to club membership until I know that I can actually register for RSVP or RAW, which can sell out very quickly?
You may join the Club when you register for the event. If the event has already sold out, you will not be able to register, so there is no danger of joining the club, but missing out on your intended ride.

Is everyone in my family covered under the same membership number?
No. Each member has a unique membership number. Spouses and children are not automatically covered under one membership just because one family member has joined.

How can I add family members to my membership so that we all can register in January?
To upgrade your membership to a household plan, fill out the form (PDF) and fax it to us at (206) 522-2407 by Dec. 18. You can also upgrade over the phone with a credit card by calling (206) 957-7944. Upgrades cannot be processed online.

What are the 2010 event dates?
They are listed online here.
